Seattle has a large and thriving rope community with an extensive array of classes, play parties, munches, and rope jams. Rope in Seattle is here to help you find the events you’re looking for and connect with your people.

Curation policy

I’ve tried hard to make this site comprehensive, but it’s hard to keep up with everything that’s going on. If you know about an event that ought to be listed here, please let me know.

This is a curated resource: I don’t list events that I consider unethical. In practice, that mostly means I don’t list classes that are taught by instructors who I consider to have a pattern of teaching or modeling egregiously bad consent practices. Seattle has plenty of good rope instructors—I’m not going to promote the bad ones.

I believe everyone can change. If you aren’t listed here, please feel free to contact me with an explanation of what changes you’ve made and why you think you’re ready to be listed.

Who am I?

My name is Tornus. I teach locally with Full Circle Kink, help run NARIX (a North American rope convention), and usually have a few community and education projects going on.

I’m passionate about community—this site is an effort to help my local community grow into its full potential.
